He was predeceased by: his sister Colleen; and his brother-in-law Richard Knapp. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Bennett (Osgood); his son James L., Jr.; his daughter-in-law Laura Bennett; his daughter Jill; his son-in-law Sonny Farnsworth; his grandchildren, Donovan of Horseheads, Lila Bennett of Horseheads, Zoey of Horseheads and Jaxon Farnsworth of Horseheads; his brother David; his sister-in-law Mary Bennett; and his sister Judy Haight. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
