Caterina (De Luca) Ruggiero Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Caterina (De Luca) Ruggiero of Horseheads, New York, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Giovanni Luca and Angela De Luca (Maio); and her niece Concetta Montnero. She is survived by: her husband Rosario I. Ruggiero; her siblings, Francesco De Luca and Carmela Montnero; her children, Rosa Giammichele (Raymond) of Horseheads, NY, Salvatore Ruggiero (Jackie) of Horseheads, NY, Giovanni Ruggiero (Pamela) of North Carolina, Angela Higley (Michael) of Watkins Glen, NY and Gaetano Ruggiero (Beth) of Baldwin, NY; her grandsons, John and Matthew; her children, Brittany, Brandon, Joshua, Morgan, Katrina, Kutter, Matthew, Stefanie, Antonello and Francesco; her great grandchildren, Audriana, Mila, Mia and Alexandria; her grandchildren, Ronan, Milo, Ezra and Andre; and her sister-in-law Elvira. She is also survived by other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many other relatives, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home (858 Lake St, Elmira, NY 14901). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Central Assembly of God (1 Brenway Dr, Horseheads, NY 14845). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery (623 Franklin St, Elmira, NY 14904).
