He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Curran Carpenter; his children, Michael DeMark Jr. of Horseheads, Joy Wieder (Rick) of Erin, Susan Carpenter of Coopers Plains and Bruce Carpenter of Rapid City; his sister Carol Hausknecht of Sunbury, Pennsylvania; and his close friend Mike Sheehan. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
