She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Ploss and Mary Osborne Ploss; her husband Thomas Charles; and her sisters, Evonna Peterson and Evelyn Jackson.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Hooper (Joe) of North Hornell and Thomas Charles (Barbara) of Marysville, PA; her sister Wilda Peterson of Ohio; her grandchildren, Michael Charles, Kimberlee Charles and Deanna Charles; and her great grandchildren, Bethany Charles, Adam Edkin and Darion Hawkins.
