She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Griffin and Louise Griffin (Myers); her former husband Clifford McMichael; her husband Stanley Shaw; her siblings, Edward Griffin, Charles Griffin, Ruby Childs and Gertrude McDaniels; and her sons-in-law, Joe Rechichi and Larry Kame.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnne Rechichi Kame of Arkport, Clifford "Pete" McMichael (Barb) of Bishopville, Edward McMichael (Claudia) of Alfred Station, Dale McMichael (Tera) of Alfred Station and Joseph McMichael (Janet) of Alfred Station; and her stepson Bud Shaw of Ohio. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Ruth's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Suite 300, Memphis, TN 38148.
