It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Oyer Sr. of Hornell, New York, who passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Oyer and Rheda Oyer (Sell); and his brothers, Raymond Oyer and James Oyer. He is survived by: his sons, Rick Oyer (Lisa) of Loon Lake and Chris Oyer (Elena) of Victor, NY; his grandsons, Matthew, Nicholas, Nathan and Weston Oyer; and his brother Rev. Robert Oyer (Irena) of Holley, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to the Hornell Moose Lodge Children's Christmas Fund, 66 Seneca St., Hornell or to the Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.
