It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond E. Amidon of Hornell, New York, who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Amidon and Dora Amidon (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn (Lewis); his sons, Ray Jr. (Jeni) and Jeff (Jody); his brother Francis; his grandchildren, Eric, Sandra, Joseph, Kristen, Katy and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Kayla and Harper; and his sisters-in-law, Kay Murray, Sally Lewis and Cheryl Lewis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the H. P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home - Canisteo (29 E Main St, Canisteo, NY 14823). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
