He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schimmel and Lenore Schimmel (Grunow). He is survived by: his daughter Lisa M. Schimmel (Jason Byron) of Wayland; his siblings, Penelope Hernandez of New York, Barbara Bursi of New York, Charles Schimmel (Susan) of Florida, Laurence Kriete of South Carolina and Martin Schimmel (Deborah) of Georgia; his significant other Pamela Soles of Bath, NY; his significant other's children, Edwin Berry (Tamara) of Texas and Jessica Berry of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Ayden Campbell of John, John "JJ" Cummings, Nevaeh Byron, Cavan Byron, Maelyn Byron and Parker Byron. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
