He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland Amidon and Cleva Amidon (Hawkins); his former wife Phillis J. Amidon; his siblings, Betty Jo Amidon and Harold (Harriet Amidon); his brother-in-law Lee Adams; and his niece Betty Lou Amidon.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa "Terry" Leasure Amidon; his children, Gerry Amidon of Canisteo, Ron Amidon (Mead) of Hartsville, Karen Smith (Joe) of Florida, Kim Amidon of Hornell and Jim Amidon (Jayne) of Hartsville; his stepchildren, Debbie Clair of Hornell, George Leasure (Mary Ann) of Hartsville and William "Bill" Leasure of Hornell; his sisters, Ruth Mayo (Deo) of Canisteo and Carol Lefort (Dan) of Florida; his brother-in-law Jim Hunt (Elsie) of Limestone; and his grandchildren, Rick Amidon (Nicky), Eric Amidon (Sharon), Kari Cunningham (Sean), Kristen Gostomski (Josh) and Kurt Amidon. He is also survived by several step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
