He was predeceased by: his parent Lawrence E. McCarthy; his daughter Laurie Ann Reinprecht; his grandson Zachary McCarthy; and his siblings, Patricia McCarthy, Madeline Wood, Jacquelyn Crook, Timothy McCarthy, Richard McCarthy, William McCarthy and Michael McCarthy.
He is survived by: his parent Bernice McCarthy (Preston); his wife Jo Ann Sherrick; his sons, Timothy I. McCarthy of Reston, Thomas O. McCarthy (Sharon) of Geneseo, Lawrence Daniel McCarthy (Carol) of Woodland Park, Donald R. McCarthy (Cheryl) of Colorado Springs, Robert J. (Lewis Lane) of Norfolk and Richard A. (Sharon) of Bergen; his grandchildren, Carrie, Gary, Jeff, Jamie, Sara, Kyle, Amy, Emily, Katherine, Holly, Andrew, Daniel, Nathan, Hannah, Haley and Heidi; and his sisters-in-law, Jeanette McCarthy, Donna McCarthy and Doris McCarthy. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.
