He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Foster and Elizabeth Foster (Smart); his son David Foster; his great grandchild Dokata Brace; and his brother Thomas Foster.
He is survived by: his spouse Lucy Parmelee; his children, Deb Feil (Jeff) of Crossville, John Foster Jr (Brenda), William Foster (Pat) of Pennsylvania and Gary "Spud" Foster (Kathy) of Hornell; his grandchildren, Melissa Brace (Chris), Harvey Feil (Sarah), John Foster (Kim), Vanessa Geffers (Larry), Rachelle Scott (Dan), Tiffani Spangler (Ben), Chelsea Foster, Allison Parulski (Edwin), Dana Foster and David Foster II; and his great grandchildren, Russell Brace, Luke Brace, Lucy Feil, Eleanor Feil, John IV, Storm Foster, Tyler Cramer, Parker Cramer, Larry Jr., Nicholas Geffers, William Scott, Wesley Scott, Alexander Spangler, Landon Parulski and Hayden Parulski. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
