With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Murphy (Hornell, New York), who passed away on October 14, 2021 at the age of 46. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Judy A. Murphy (Henshaw); his son Connor P. Murphy; and his brother Thomas M. Murphy. He is survived by: his father Thomas C. Murphy of Arkport; his daughters, Madison Matthews (George) of Rochester and Melissa Murphy of Arkport; his siblings, David Murphy (Lisa Graham) of Hornell and Kelly Murphy (Maryann) of Hornell; his nieces, Kaley Murphy and Delaney Murphy; and his close friend Beth Ketcham. He is also survived by aunts, uncles & cousins.

John's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in his name to the nursing staff at the Cardiac ICU unit at Strong memorial hospital.

“So very sorry to hear of Johns passing! He was a very good friend of my son, Guy Washburn!! They roomed together when they were going to college in Alfred and were good friend all through high school. Guy passed from a truck accident st 28 Yrs old and John was very upset at his passing! I too know the pain hid family is feeling st his death so very young! May God help.your family through this very tragic time! .My prayers are with the family! 💗💗🙏🙏🙏”
