James F. Wachter Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2024, at the age of 86, James F. Wachter (Hornell, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wachter and Lillian Wachter of Hornell; and his siblings, Eleanor Eister (Dan) of Bath, NY and George Wachter (Edith) of Huntsville, Alabama.. He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his children, Salvatore Wachter (Anna) of Hornell, Jimmy Wachter, Geoff Ameele of Syracuse, NY and Cherie Ann Laudisi (David) of Webster, NY.; his grandchildren, Heather Edlind (Justin) of Marion, NY, Daniel Laudisi of Syracuse, NY, Nick Laudisi, Justin and Matthew Wachter of Hornell; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Lily, Mara Edlind and Norma Jean Wachter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, three sisters-in-law, and brother-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home (285 Main St, Hornell, NY 14843). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Church (31 Erie Ave, Hornell, NY 14843).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to UR Medicine Home Care, 2180 Empire Blvd., Webster, NY 14580-2098 in his memory. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral homes and church.
