It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon E. Schiller (Hornell, New York), born in Batavia, New York, who passed away on March 19, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Schiller and Elsie Schiller (Behrens); his grandparents, Frederick and Catherine Behrens; and his half-brother Frank Schiller.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Canestra; his daughters, Bethany Schiller of Trumansburg, NY and Jill Schiller (Mike Lepelstat) of Hornell; his sister Patricia Schiller of Geneva; and his half-sisters, Audrey Panepento (Barry) of El Mirage, AZ and Bette Wright (Keith) of Valrico, FL. He is also survived by extended family, and many friends.
Gordon's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Hornell Public Library (64 Genesee St., Hornell, NY 14843), or to the restoration of the Phi Sig Fraternity House (Phix Associates, C/O Mike Schmidt, 2 Greenfield Lane, Rochester, NY 14610).
