He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Olin and Della Silsbee Olin; his brothers, Fred, Ronald and William Olin; and his great grandchild Dustin Olin Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Michael Olin (Leonie) of California, Gerald Olin Jr. (Debi) of Hornell and Linda Yates (Ron) of South Carolina; and also Beverly Olin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
