He was predeceased by: his father Walter H. Packer; and his sister Hope Packer. He is survived by: his mother Sybil Clark Packer Haley of Hornell; his wife Elizabeth Smith Packer; his children, Gabriel Packer of Hornell, Kelsey Clair (Tim) of Hartsville and Hilary Packer; his stepsons, Matthew Clark of Hornell and Daniel Clark (Eva) of Hornell; his brother Robert G. Haley (Pimjai) of Thailand; his aunt Dorothy Clark of Hornell; and his grandchildren, Grace, Olivia and George.
In lieu of flower, the family suggests making a donation to the charity of the donor's choice, or the Hornell Alumni Association specifically "Class of 1978".
