He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Nelson and Mary Lee Nelson (Rangers); his daughter Seresa Tigner; and his brother Otis Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Milliner Nelson; his children, Farrell Monaghan (Mike), Kaylan, Carrrie and Mason; his grandchildren, Triniti and Alyiah; his son Phillip Nelson (Renea); his grandchildren, Tyana, Natasha, Christian, Trevontae, Jaedyn, Phaejone and Ottavious; his great grandchild Franklin Nelson Jr; his siblings, Tilly Mae Nelson, John Edward Nelson, Patricia Nelson, Linda Nelson, Curtis Nelson, Joe Nathan Nelson, Mary Ann Nelson and Christopher Nelson; and also, Mataya, Makel, Mariah, Sade Garcia (Joseph), Isaiah, Nyla, Nazarlyn Moss, Akeria Burgess-Moss, AhKeem Morrow and Acaija Morrow. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
