He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas, Sr. DeSanto and Catherine DeSanto (Changose); and his siblings, Rose DiVincenzo, Mary Leto, Louise Fratercangelo, Lucy Chapman, Anna Datini, Catherine Smart, Dorothy DeSanto, Margaret "Marge" DeSanto, Theresa Napolione, Helen Pardi, Joseph DeSanto and Nicholas DeSanto, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Ellen DeSanto (Read); his children, David DeSanto (Lisa) of Texas, Lynn Di Martino (John) of Rochester and Mary Ellen Smith (Pat) of Hornell; his grandchildren, Amber, Elyssa, Haydn Smith, Natalie and Alex DiFiore; his brother Richard DeSanto (Josephine) of Rochester; and his siblings-in-law, Donna DeSanto of Hornell and Joe Pardi of California. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
