He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob Almeter and Mary Almeter (Schwab); his wife Mildred Alice George; his children, Kenneth Clair Almeter and Patricia "Pat" Childs (Bill) of Wellsville; his daughter-in-law Paulette Almeter of Almond; and his grandchildren, Cary Childs (Eileen), Lisa Flick (Damon), Amy Mingle (Tom) and Jodie Carlin. He was also cherished by 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Clair's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to either St. Brendan's Church, 11 South Main St., Almond, NY 14804 or to the Almond Fire Department, 1 Marvin Lane, Almond, NY 14804 or to the Almond Public Library, 42 North Main St., Almond, NY 14804.
