He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Simms and Dorothy Simms (Sharp); and his son Steven James Simms. He is survived by: his wife Alice Marie Simms (Davison); his children, David Simms of Hornell and Suzanne Tobey (Stephen) of Corning, NY; his grandsons, Christopher Simms (Bobby), Matthew Simms (Misty) and Adam Simms (Shannon); and his siblings, Robert Simms (Ann) of Sherevport, LA and Patricia Ann Arcieri (Louis) of Silverdale, WA. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
