It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blanche (Swain) Evingham Houghtaling in Hornell, New York, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orin Swain and Harriet Swain (Chase); her son Mark Evingham; her great grandchild Jasper Baldwin; and her siblings, Orin Swain Jr., Margaret Cook, Ellen Cook, Eileen Cook, Donald Cook, Brad Cook and Glen Cook.
She is survived by: her husband Lee Houghtaling; and her children, Pamela "Pam" Denning (William) of Dansville, Holly Smith of Missouri, Michael Evingham of Canisteo and Dale Evingham of Hornell. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Blanche's family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hornell Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.
