She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Mehlenbacher and Gladys Ludwig Mehlenbacher; her husband Walter Hess Jr.; her brothers, Eugene, Charles, Dean, Gordon and Vance; and her granddaughter Holly Helen.
She is survived by: her sons, Francis "Fritz" Hess (Donna) of Dansville, James Hess of Hornell and Douglas Hess (Barbara) of Hornell; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Crawford of Edinbora and Norma Mehlenbacher of Dundee; and her grandchildren, Trevor, Michael, Melissa, Jessica, James, Chrissie, Heidi, Amy and Aaron.
