William Avezzano Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate William Avezzano (Hopewell Junction, New York), born in Yonkers, New York, whose life came to an end on October 29, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Avezzano and Mary Avezzano (Vrtiak). He is survived by: his wife Dolores Avezzano (Giordano); his children, Diane Peterson (Tony Gimigliano) and William Avezzano (Marcia); his grandchildren, Nicole Pockett (Leo Schnetzler), Marcella Moret, Michael Peterson (Alex), Alexa Peterson, Nick Avezzano and William Avezzano Jr.; his great grandchildren, Michelle, Jaxon, Colton, Madi, Declan and Haidyn; and his siblings, Tom Avezzano, Barbara Sivco (Bob) and Donna Scott (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Kateri Tekakwitha (1925 NY-82, Lagrangeville, NY 12540). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the St. Denis Cemetery (1925 NY-82, Lagrangeville, NY 12540).
