She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Stocker and Eileen Stocker (Piper). She is survived by: her significant other Charles L. Douda; her daughters, Eileen Jeanne Stocker, Thomas Rooney and Mercedes Anne Bissell; her grandsons, Theodor T. Rooney and Ethan H. Rooney; and her siblings, Sandra Ferguson, Russell (Kathy Stocker), Mary (Mark Stephenson) and Janet (John Bartow). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Laura's memory to the Arbor Day Foundation.
