He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Dwyer; his parents, Joseph Litchauer and Agnes Litchauer (Jenkins); his former wife Kathryn Litchauer; and his sister Jane Litchauer.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Eckert (Lawrence), Joseph Litchauer (Dawn) and Karen Quinn (Steven); his stepdaughter Katherine Jennings (Jon); his grandchildren, Amanda, Alexandra Pelaccio (Mark), Connor Knapp, Elizabeth Eckert, Kelly Quinn, Nicole Quinn, Jamie Quinn, Kevin Litchauer, Amber Litchauer, Brian Jennings (Natalia) and Sean Jennings; and his siblings, Frances Votrian, Agnes Doria and Daniel Litchauer. He is also survived by several step grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
