With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph J. LaScolea (Hopewell Junction, New York), born in Yonkers, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Joseph's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joseph has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard LaScolea, Sr. and Lucy LaScolea (Subrizi); and his sister-in-law Felecia LaScolea (Maltese). He is survived by: his brother Dr. Leonard LaScolea, Jr. of Williamsville, NY; and his nephews, Jason LaScolea (Cheri) of Corning, NY, James LaScolea of Stowe, VT, Bradley LaScolea (Gabrielle) of Westfield, NJ and Paul LaScolea (Caitlin) of Chicago, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
