With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John McSweeney of Hopewell Junction, New York, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William McSweeney and Kathleen McSweeney (Marrinan); and his brother-in-law Denis O'Flynn. He is survived by: his pets, Lucky, Kerry, Tabatha, Ginger, Mittens, Momo and Reese; his wife Gloria Mayer; his children, Donna McSweeney of West Trenton, NJ, William McSweeney (Paula Campanaro) of Ewing, NJ, Deirdre McSweeney (James Heath) of Ewing, NJ and Genevieve McSweeney-Drury of Henderson, NV; his stepchildren, Lisa Caico of Forest Hill, MD and Richard Fernandez of Lake Tahoe, CA; his grandchildren, Amanda, John, Nolan, James, Nathaniel, Rosemary, Peter, Alessandra, Isabella, Stephen, Elizabeth and Christopher; his siblings, Elizabeth "May" O'Flynn, Patrick "Billy" McSweeney (Eileen) and Kathleen O'Neill (William); and his former wife G. Claudine McSweeney. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
