She was predeceased by: her parents, James Quirke and Mary Quirke; and her siblings, Michael, Jimmy, John, Paddy, Norah and Mary.
She is survived by: her husband William; her sister Betty Griffin; her son James Horan (Janet); her grandchildren, Erin (Cristina), Colleen, Alanna, Shannon and Kiera; her daughter Brenda Crossley (Doug); her grandchildren, Eamon, Tiernan, Eilish and Saoirse; her great grandchild Una Moore (Dan); and also, Fiona, Aidan and Claire. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. ~ Van Wyck Room (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Columba Church (835 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A burial was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:15 AM at the St. Denis Cemetery (604 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Joan to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
