James M. McCann Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James M. McCann (Hopewell Junction, New York), who passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCann and Regina McCann (Slattery); and his brother Monsignor John McCann. He is survived by: his children, Christopher McCann of Wappingers Falls, Kathleen McCann of Wappingers Falls, Dennis McCann (Heather) of Clarendon Hills, IL, Timothy McCann (Megan) of Briarcliff Manor, NY and Michael McCann (Gina) of Poughkeepsie, NY.; his grandchildren, Brigid, Dennis, Molly, Martin, Megan, Audrey, Colin, Aidan and Loch; and his sister Patricia Hoey (Michael) of Dagsboro, DE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. ~ Van Wyck Room (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Columba Church (835 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Denis Cemetery (604 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533).
