He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Cardinale and Mary Cardinale (Carsaro); his children, Peter (Mary) and Maryann Torres; his grandchildren, Cara (Jason), John, Savannah, Andrea and Emma; and his wife Carole. He was also cherished by 15 Nieces and Nephews and 20 Great Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
