He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kaps and Marie Kaps (Markey); his wife Theresa B. Doria Kaps; and his daughter Denise Ann Kaps. He is survived by: his children, Robert S. Kaps (Joann DeLuigi) of Fishkill, Karen A. Kaps of Wanaque, NJ and Kevin J. Kaps (Nicole) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Christina Kaps, Damien Kaps, Evan Kaps and Cameron Kaps; his great grandchildren, Trinity, Adriana, Jayden, Gianna and Stella; and his niece Michelle Ruvolo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
