He was predeceased by: his parents, Aya Singh and Durga Devi Bhatia. He is survived by: his wife Raj Bhatia; his children, Monica (John Nicosia) and Jasvinder (Dyan); his grandchildren, Kiran, Ravin Bhatia, Arjan and Neha Nicosia; his brothers, Narinder Bhatia (Kulwant) and Satyapal Bhatia (Gulbir); and his sisters-in-law, Surinder Kaur, Jasbir Kaur and Prem Kochar. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters.
