He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wern and Katherine Wern (Neubauer); his brothers, Henry and Jack; his wife Barbara (Weir); and his children, Ann (Wendell), Deborah, Robert and Fred (Caren).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Debbie, Jack, Zachary, Nicholas and Amanda; and his great grandchildren, Claire and Charlotte.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Denis Roman Catholic Church (602 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533).
