He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank P. Abato and Jennie Abato (Delmerico); his wife Linda (Wilson); his son Frank; his grandson Matthew; and his brother-in-law Joseph Festa.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Abato (Diane) of Hopewell Junction, Tracy Grace Abato (John Culligan) of Newburgh, Robin Willard of Kiln, MS and Michael Abato; his sisters, Patricia Ryan (Kevin) of Estero, FL and Donna Festa of Irvington; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Nicholas. He is also survived by other grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
