She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Arvid Ekstrom and Alvina Irene Ekstrom; her husband Sven Nygard; and her daughter Britt-Marie Nygard. She is survived by: her daughter Ann-Christine (Tina); her son-in-law Neil Bevacqua of LaGrangeville, NY; her granddaughters, Rebecca Bevacqua of Troy, NY and Emily Bevacqua of LaGrangeville, NY.; and also Sweden.

A celebration of her life will be held as weather gets warmer and safe social distancing measures can be taken.
