She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Laux; her parents, Philip Prestigiacomo and Anna Prestigiacomo (Traola); and her son John "Jackie" Laux. She is survived by: her son William Laux (Kirsten) of Fishkill, NY; her grandsons, Aiden and Christopher Laux; her sister Marie Skelly; her brother-in-law Gerard "Chippy"; her nephew Gerard Skelly (Joy); her niece Ann Marie Casey (Eddie); and her great-nieces, JoanMarie and Anna. She is also survived by her two sons and later a doting grandmother.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. ~ Van Wyck Room (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Columba Church (835 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the St. John's Cemetery (80-01 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379).
