With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David J. Garvey (Hopewell Junction, New York), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on October 2, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Garvey and Mary Garvey (O'Connor); and his brother Dennis Garvey. He is survived by: his spouse Clare Connor; his children, Jacqueline (Robert Cubberly) and Brian (Elizabeth Garvey); his grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Colin, Connor and Michael; and his brother Michael Garvey (Julia Connolly). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dave's wish was to donate his brain to the Ican School of Medicine Neuropathology Brain Bank at Mt. Sinai Hospital for Agent Orange Research. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans #144, PO Box 421, Castle Point, NY 12511-0421 or Graymoor, PO Box 300, Garrison, NY 10524-0301.
