He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dugas and Betty Dugas; his brothers, Jerry Dugas and Thomas Dugas; and his daughter Jessica.

He is survived by: his wife Christine; his son David Dugas of Virginia; his sisters, Cindy Freeman (Greg) of Peru and Kelly Dugas of Rumford, Maine.; his stepson Lance MacMillan of Poughkeepsie, NY; his son Carson; his child-in-law Ramsay MacMillan (Leah) of Chapel Hill, NC; and his grandchildren, Danielle and Christopher.
