We are sad to announce that on February 19, 2025, at the age of 96, Charles Daniel McCloskey (Hopewell Junction, New York), born in New York, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan McCloskey (Lari); his godmother Sarah Van Syckle (Rogers); his mother Mae McCloskey; and his parents-in-law, Maurice (Joe) and Kay Chalk.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Cvijanovich (Pierce Smith) of Rhinebeck, NY and Daniel McCloskey (Karen) of Quincy, MA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Villa (Steven) of Old Bridge, NJ, Meghan Hannon (Patrick) of Vestal, NY, Kaitlyn Cvijanovich (Matthew Oberly) of Hyde Park, NY and Nolan McCloskey of Quincy, MA; and his great grandchildren, Gianna, Nico Villa of Old Bridge, NJ, Riley and Jackson Hannon of Vestal, NY.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. ~ Van Wyck Room (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Church (118 Cedar Valley Rd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603). A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Hillside Cemetery (1033 Oregon Rd, Cortlandt, NY 10567).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles's memory may be directed to Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club of NYC.
