With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara J. Syska (Hopewell Junction, New York), who passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bertha Birkenstock and Robert Birkenstock of Harrison; her former husband Paul Syska; her significant other Larry Miller; her children, Paul, Jane Vassallo (John) of Harrison, NY, Jan Morehouse (Jay) of Richmond, VA, Jill Ham (Ed) of Millbrook, NY, June Boniello (John) of Hopewell Junction and Barry of El Sobrante, CA; her grandchildren, John, Jennie, Alexis, Scott, Eric, Kearsten, Frances, Geoffrey, Michelle and Oliver; and her sisters, Judy Ensign of Harrison and Gail Aloia of Danbury. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Frontal Temporal Dementia Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
