Jeffrey Michael Tracy Obituary

Jeffrey Michael Tracy, 65, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 11, 2025, before entering the gates of paradise. He was born on April 5, 1959, to Preston and Ann Tracy, bringing joy to all who knew him from the very start.
Jeffrey was not only a cherished member of his community but also a proud graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. His prowess on the football field was legendary; as his own brother would call him a "Swiss army knife" for his ability to excel at various positions, often within the same game, he earned the respect and admiration of all who watched him play.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Jeffrey was a great man, known for his profound love for his friends and family, a love that was rivaled only by his passion for the great outdoors. Whether he was fishing, camping, or snowboarding, he embraced every adventure with enthusiasm. His life was filled with stories from his travels and explorations, which he loved to share with anyone who would listen.
As an adult, you could often find him cruising in his beloved Jeep, always ready for the next adventure or job. As a doting father, he shared countless adventures with his son, from attending football games and exploring caves to ice fishing and even enjoying the arts at musicals. His generosity was boundless; he was always there to lend a hand to his family, friends, and colleagues.
Jeffrey was known for his honesty and straightforwardness, never judging others by their possessions but by the content of their character. His commitment to his community shone through his active participation at the Northern Berkshire Christian Church.
In his final days, Jeff was blessed to return to his cherished home in the north, where he was able to reconnect with loved ones, leaving behind memories that will warm the hearts of all who knew him.
Jeff will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and kindness. Jeffrey is survived by his son, Corbin Gale Tracy, sister Rebecca (Daniel) Keyes, and brothers Christopher Tracy and Preston Tracy. He was predeceased by his brother Timothy Tracy.
A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held on Saturday March 15th at Noon , at the Olde Forge in Lanesborough, Massachusetts. Light refreshments will be provided. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. NY.
