He was predeceased by: his sister Carolyn Nichols; and his grandchildren, Michael Ryan and Stephanie Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Cora "Cookie" Curren (Dieter); his daughters, Jeannette Ryan, Jeannine Smith (Robert) and Tracy Gills (Raymond); his grandchildren, Jessica Burroni (Jocelyn), Justin Smith (Corianne), Jennifer Lappe (Donald), Meagan Ryan and Hannah Gills; and his great grandchildren, Colton Smith and Henry Lappe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
