He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Knowlton and Sylvia Knowlton. He is survived by: his wife Pamela; his son Wyatt of Homer; his stepdaughter Hannah Wilson of Watertown; and his sisters, Laurie Hathaway of Cortland, Nancy Knowlton of Cortland and Jacklyn Havington (Howard) of Dryden.
