He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Hurchla and Marjorie Sullivan Hurchla; his wife Linda; and his daughters, Jennifer and Vicki.
He is survived by: his children, David Hurchla (Michele) of Tully, Jeffrey Hurchla (Carol) of Cortland, Becky Hurchla of Homer and Samantha Parker (Roger) of Moravia. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
