Carla Chrzan Sweeney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carla Chrzan Sweeney of Homer, New York, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on November 7, 2022 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carla Chrzan Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter George Chrzan and Charlotte Houck Chrzan; her brother Walter G. Chrzan, Jr. of Johnsonburg; her uncle Earl Houck of Spokane; and her parents-in-law, Albert and Dorothy Sweeney.
She is survived by: her husband Martin A. Sweeney; her children, Dr. Charlotte (Sweeney) and Martin A. Sweeney, Jr. of Endwell; her grandson Martin Seyran Sweeney of Endwell; and her brother-in-law Paul Sweeney (Peg) of Homer. She is also survived by several cousins, family members, dear friends, and caring neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Carla's name be directed to any of the following: Upstate Cancer Center at 750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210; the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601; and in particular to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Avenue, Endicott, NY 13760, whose amazing and compassionate staff cared for Carla during her final weekend.
