It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lou Crandall Knobel of Homer, New York, born in Cortland, New York, who passed away on November 20, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Henry Knobel; her parents, Doris Crandall (Biel) and Francis Crandall; her siblings, Iva Crandall and Donald Crandall; her sister-in-law Pat Crandall; and her niece Marlea Crandall Roberts (Bill).
She is survived by: her brother Gerry Crandall (Joyce); her stepchildren, Thomas Knobel (Catherine Bertini), Rona Knobel, Stephen Knobel (Dina) and Kimberly Welch (Thomas); her stepgrandchildren, James Welch, Erin Albro (Shawn), Patty Welch, Olivia Knobel and Vivienne Knobel; and her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Burgett, Bonnie Bosch (Jeff), Debbie Crandall, David Crandall (Karen), Albert Crandall and Steven Crandall (Kelly). She is also survived by four step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions her Betty's name be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 97104, Washington, DC 2009-7104.
