She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. Leverich and Madelyn R. Craft; her husband James F. Nielsen of John's Church; her son James "Chris" Nielsen; and her son-in-law David E. Strang III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Nielsen-Williams (David) of Holmes and Kathe Strang of Wingdale; her grandchildren, Michael Leight (Maria), Heather Donahue, Nicole Acevedo (Kevin), Justin Williams, David Strang, Tiffany Williams (Gary) and Justin Nielsen; and her great grandchildren, Alexia Acevedo-Nielsen, Adam Donahue Jr., Michael Moore, Cherish Haywood, Charli Haywood and Steven Chapman.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home (83 E Main St, Pawling, NY 12564).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Ruth may be made to the Holmes Methodist Church.
