Constance Near Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance Near of Hollowville, New York, born in Copake, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Rossman and Hazel Rossman (Miller); her husband Butch; and her siblings, Robert Rossman, Richard Rossman, Augusta Rossman and Laura Rossman.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Meredith; her children, Sandra Nartowicz (Adam) of Claverack and Jan Near (Marie) of Copake Falls; her grandchildren, Amanda Hummel (Ian Solomon) of Claverack, NY, Steven Near (Missy) of Claverack, NY and Joseph Near (Burke) of Moon Township; and her sister Doris McGeary of Hollowville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Connie requested donations be made in her name to the Copake United Methodist Church, Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, NY 12414 or the charity of your choice.
