He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter C. Sr. Steffen and Ella Steffen (Curtis); his children, Debbie Steffen, Barbara Adolph, David and Dennis Steffen; his grandson Jake Adolph; and his sisters, Alice Steffen Schepler and Mary Steffen Herring.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam "Dolly"; his children, Dan Steffen, Doug Steffen (Rhonda), Patti Salamanca (Taras), Dale Steffen (Kathy), Connie Harrison (Saul) and Susie Kyle (Ron); and his daughter-in-law Halia. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren.
