He was predeceased by: his parents, Iolene Belle Kingsley and Paul Wesley Abbey, Sr.; his former wife Esther Louise Look Abbey; and his son Richard Floyd Abbey. He is survived by: his wife Gail C. Abbey; his sons, Todd Russell Abbey (Erin) and Craig Wesley Abbey (Clara); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Jo Abbey (Ben); his grandchildren, Jason T. Abbey (Megan), Kaitlyn A. Balch (Dillon), Paul D. Abbey (Sarah), Steven P. Abbey (Megan) and Génia E. E. Abbey; his great grandchildren, Richard T. and Audrey R. Abbey; and his stepchildren, Bradley J. Zimmer, Laurie Z. Wyczawski, Kirk A. Zimmer, Sr. and Paula Z. Prater. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
